Annual General Meeting 2019 reportThe 2019 AGM was held on Wednesday 269 June between 8 pm and 10 pmin the William Barry Lecture Theatre, University of West London, W5 5R.
Following the Chair’s report (attached), the financial report for the previous year (also attached) was presented and approved. The appointment of Theresa Mullins to examine the accounts for the current year was also approved. The committee for the current year was elected as follows: Residents’ reps: Ann Chapman Mark Sanders Lap Pan Chong (1 vacancy) Local organisations’ reps Robert Gurd (Ealing Civic Society) Tony Miller (CEPAC) - Chair Peter Treadgold (Ealing’s Forgotten Spaces) (1 vacancy) Local business reps: Andrew Cazalet (Lido Tax Consulting) - Treasurer Matt Snowden (UWL) Charles Nelson (Ealing College – co-opted) (1 vacancy) Charles Rich and John Hummerston had indicated they would not be standing again, as they had moved out of the area. Both were thanked for their services. Graham Pycock, Visiting lecturer, University of Westminster Business School, and Convenor, Neighbourhood Planners London, spoke to the meeting on the subject Does Politics get in the way of local democracy? A brief report were given on the latest position on the redevelopment of Ealing Broadway station by Richard Chilton, and on the appointment by the Council of consultants who would be preparing a Liveable Neighbourhood scheme for central Ealing. Consultation had been promised. |
