Council consults on new mandate
Ealing Council has started a public consultation on the extension of the Forum’s recognition as the ‘qualifying body’ authorised to propose changes to the CENP. This can be seen on its web site at
The consultation runs until Friday 17 August 2018. It would be helpful to have a good backing for our continued recognition, so please log on and express your support.
Forum new role agreed
Members agreed at the annual meeting on 19 June to extend the life of the Forum for a further five years, to December 2023. Its role will change to monitoring the implementation of the Neighbourhood Plan following its successful adoption at the October referendum, and keeping it up to date with the developing London Plan and other changes locally.
The meeting also approved the accounts and elected the committee for the forthcoming year.
Welcome to the CENF
CENF is a local voluntary organisation bringing together community groups, businesses and key stakeholders. It was formed in 2012 to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for Central Ealing. The plan won a 92% acceptance from voters in a referendum in October 2017.
The Plan was adopted by Ealing Council later that year and became part of the official Ealing Plan. The Forum is now concerned with its implementation and keeping it up to date. Help us to do this!
